Aaliyah Haughton became famous in 1994 when she released her first album Age Ain't nothing but an amount. The singer was only 15 at when the album was released and it became Gold. It was done as an album that was heavily in the style of R. Kelly and it brought her into the limelight. In 1996 she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland on her sophomore studio album One In A Million, that included the top-selling single If Your Girl Knew. After the debut of the album Aaliyah gained international attention as an R&B artist. The year 2000 saw her starred alongside the famous martial arts star Jet Li for the film Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, film producer and director of the movie Romeo Must Die spotted her during an awards event. In 2002, she was able to be part of the vampire flick Queen of the Damned which was based on the Anne Rice novel. Then she was introduced to the Matrix with her role as Zee as Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also been as a character in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 as well as The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. She received four nominations at the Grammy Awards in 1999, 2001 and 2002. Other than The Big Bang Theory her most notable work includes Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) and Grey's Anatomy (2017). She has also been featured in commercials for big brands such as international automobile manufacturer Volvo. Her acting career continues at Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
